The Parish Website Project

Northampton School for Boys is a DfES Designated Technology College. The two primary aims that the school must fulfil as a Technology College are as follows:

Provide high quality learning opportunities in the specialist subjects and higher standards through sharing specialist facilities and resources with partner schools and developing and disseminating good practice;

Provide high quality learning opportunities through the specialist subjects for members of, and groups within, the school's wider community, including local business.

The school plans to develop village websites through Parish Councils spread throughout Northamptonshire. The school will seek to facilitate the involvement of schools which serve the local Parish; this may be one avenue in which the long time viability of the site is established. Where regular updates of content are required, such as a Parish newsletter, the school will seek to train and facilitate remote updating of pages.
