A New Headteacher at Hartwell CE Primary School I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to all members of the Parish community. My name is Jayne Clancy. I am married with two daughters and have lived and worked in Northamptonshire for 20 years. My previous employment was as Deputy Headteacher of East Hunsbury Primary School. This is a very large Primary School and as such I was a non class-based Deputy working alongside the Headteacher in the management of the school. I feel very privileged to take up appointment at Hartwell. The school’s reputation for excellence in all areas is something I will endeavour to sustain and build upon. School forms a central part of the village community in Hartwell and we need to reflect the establishment and improvement of community links within our School Improvement Plan. If anyone has any ideas on how we might work together towards a closer community network, please contact the school and I would be happy to talk these ideas through. The next term is going to be a very busy one. The children have arrived back in school eager to please their new teachers and to work hard. We also have a range of things to celebrate this term, from Harvest to Christmas. All of this whilst learning 200 childrens names and ensuring the school continues to move forward will, I am sure, keep me very bust! I have been delighted with the way I have been received into the school and community so far and look forward to settling successfully into my new role over the forthcoming months.
