| Horseshoe Chair - The seat This is one of two horseshoe chairs. The seat has been sprung and filled with horse hair, which has been secured with stuffing ties (see depression in centre of chair)

| Blind stitching and roll edge At the front, 4 rows of blind stitching and a rolled edge has been created. As you can see, further stuffing stitches of approx 3 inches wide was executed. This is an additional precaution and will ensure that the front edge of the chair does not collapse within the next 50 years or more.
